* The Oriental Institute in Sarajevo, its premisses, research library and complete manuscript collection (more that 2.000 codices and 15.000 other archaival materijal) was deliberatly destroyed in shelling on May 18, 1992 by Serb nacionalst forces besieged city of Sarajevo.

* In 1994 Mr. András Riedlmayer bibliographer of the Aga Khan Program at Fine Arts Library of Harvard Univeristy has start-up The Bosnian Manuscript Ingathering Project (BMIP) focused on ONE particular goal and that is to ingather all available copies of the original manuscripts from the collection of the Orienetal Institute in Sarajevo. ... copies (xerox, photocopies, photographs, or transcripts) - regardless of their format or quality - that might be a part of research papers and documentation of various schollars that have worked in the Oriental Institure.
